After Bell Market Wrap-up: 8th July 2021

Markets failed to fulfill the expectation for those looking forward to a similar performance showcased in the last two days. A few utilities and IT apart, 24 of the 30 Sensex stocks ended in the red.

Metal happened to be the biggest loser ending at 5,170.50 at the closing bell. Big gainers include Bajaj auto, Power grid, and Tech M. Nifty ended down by 0.96%. The fear gauge index, VIX, ended higher at 13.56 approximately.

A snippet of the markets today

  • Zomato IPO is expected to open on July 14.

  • PNB housing traded high, ending in 721.85 following a probable restructuring of the infusion deal with Carlyle group.

  • Railtel also traded higher following a big order from Sagar Cable Network.

  • Clean Science IPO subscribed 2.87 times on the second day, while GR Infraprojects was subscribed 4.2 times.

  • L&T Infotech finishes the complete acquisition of the firm Cuelogic.

Wrapping up

Japan and few other Asian stock markets opened low owing to the fear of virus spread. However, the American markets rejoiced and ended higher following the federal meeting.
