  1. K. C. Mahindra Scholarships for Post-Graduate Studies Abroad 2024: Up to ₹ 10 L [Deadline 31 Mar ‘24]

About KC Mahindra Scholarship: Since 1956, the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust has been providing interest-free loan scholarships to deserving students for post-graduate studies abroad, aiming to promote education, social and economic development, and empower the populace.

Eligibility:

  • Must have a First Class degree or an equivalent diploma from a recognised university.
  • Indian applicants must secure admission or apply for admission in reputable foreign universities starting August 2024 by February 2025.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Top 3 KC Mahindra Fellows will receive a maximum of ₹10 lakh per scholar.
  • Remaining successful applicants will be awarded a maximum of ₹5 lakh per scholar.

Document Required: 

  • Go through the documents required to be uploaded to the application portal.

  1. UN's International Law Fellowship Programme 2024: 20 Fellows; 3 Weeks; No Fees; The Hague [Deadline 22 Mar ‘24] 

About Programme: The United Nations International Law Fellowship Programme is organised by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs. The Fellowship Programme consists of an annual summer course at the Peace Palace in The Hague, the Netherlands. The participants attend lectures and seminars in international law organized by the Codification Division as well as the public international law session at The Hague Academy of International Law.

Eligibility:

  • Must have a legal background and demonstrate professional experience in international law. 
  • Programme will be conducted in English. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.

Application Form: 

  • The application form (on the website) must be completed in English, typewritten, and clear, with additional pages for extra space. 
  • A "Letter of Transmission" must be signed by a senior official of the institution. 

Seminar and Lecture Topics: Covers various topics such as international law, peace and security, diplomatic and consular law, humanitarian law, criminal law, environmental law, law of the sea, trade law, investment law and much more.

  1. 4th National Moot Court Competition 2024 at Faculty of Law, Marwadi University: April 5-7; Cash Prizes Totaling ₹ 88k [Deadline 10 Mar ‘24]

About Moot Competition: The Marwadi University, Rajkot Gujrat, will organise the 4th National Moot Court Competition after three successful editions. The competition aims to enhance legal proficiencies and mooting skills for aspiring lawyers. It provides a platform for students to learn real-time analytical skills and the complexities surrounding law and regulations, aiming to provide a unique learning experience for budding lawyers.

Eligibility: 

  • 1st-year law student enrolled in 3 Years LLB programme or 5 Years integrated programme from any college/institution/university recognised by BCI. 
  • Only one team shall be allowed from one College/Institution/University.

  • Fill out a form on the official website, which is considered complete once the registration fee, i.e. ₹ 5k, is paid, and all credentials are provided.

  1. Submissions for: HPNLU Journal of Cyber Laws and Security [Deadline 25 Mar '24]

About Journal: The Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla Journal of Cyber Laws and Security (JCLS) is an annual peer-reviewed journal published by the Centre for Cyber Laws and Security at Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla. 

Submission Categories: Submissions can be research papers, articles, essays, and book reviews, with word limits of 6000-10000 words for articles, 4000-6000 words for essays, and 3000-4000 words for book reviews. 

How to submit work:

  • No specific theme or topic, but all submissions related to cyber laws, cybersecurity, and professional legal skills are welcome. 
  • Must be submitted electronically, typed in MS Office double-spaced, and sent to editorjcls@hpnlu.ac.in.
  • The abstract, containing 250-300 words, should be sent along with the electronic submissions. 
  • Authors must submit a cover letter detailing the paper title, name, designation, author(s), and institutional affiliation, stating the manuscript's originality and not having been published elsewhere.

  1. Internship Opportunity at National Legal Services Authority, Delhi [Rolling basis]

About NALSA: The National Legal Services Authority was established under the Legal Services Authorities Act of 1987 to offer free legal services to weaker sections of society.

About Internship: 

  • Mode: Physical; Location: Delhi; Working five days a week, Monday to Friday. 
  • No stipend or remuneration, but will be reimbursed for food and travel expenses. 
  • Must carry own laptops and may need to travel locally for office visits. 
  • The internship program requires interns to submit a report of their tasks at the end, and a certificate of the internship will be awarded upon successful completion.

Eligibility:

  • Students pursuing or have completed a 3-year LLB or 5-year Law course from any recognised university/college.
  • Apply for an internship by emailing nalsa-dla@nic.in, mentioning the month and year, e.g. "Application for Internship – July 2023"

  • Expression of Interest (one-page write-up explaining your interest in the internship programme and suitability)
