CUET (PG) Exams 2023: Date, Syllabus & Eligibility

What is CUET? 

With the vision, ‘The right candidates joining best institutions will give India her demographic dividend’, the National Testing Agency (NTA) was established by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI), as an impartial, self-governing, and self-sustaining prestigious testing organization. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for organizing effective, credible, and international standardized tests to evaluate the proficiency of student applicants for admission to prominent higher education schools. 

  • Common University Entrance Test is an examination for admission in Central and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges. It is an All-India test being organized by National Testing Agency for admission to various Undergraduate, Post-Graduate, Integrated, Diploma, and Certification courses and Research programmes. 
  • Individuals seeking admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other partnering organizations (including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities) throughout the Country will have a single window chance through CUET. 

What is CUET (PG) and its scheduled date?

CUET PG is an examination for securing admission for Post Graduation program into recognized universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process. 

CUET 2023 Date

Registration Date for CUET PG 2023 – The registration process for CUET PG starts on March 20, 2023, and the last registration date will be from April 19, 2023, till 5:00 P.M. 
The window for Correction in CUET PG 2023 Application Form - is April 20, 2023, to April 23, 2023. 

Scheduled Examination Date - 1st to 10th June 2023 (Examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts per day schedule, and the date sheet will be available on the website.)
Last date of successful transaction of Examination fee - 19.04.2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.) 
Mode of CUET PG 2023 Exam - CUET (PG) 2023 will be conducted in Computer Based Test mode only.

CUET PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria 

Vide its examination notification, NTA issued eligibility criteria for appearing for CUET PG 2023 Exams. 
Age limit - For appearing in the CUET (PG) 2023, the candidates have no age limit. However, the candidates will be required to fulfil the age criteria of the University in which they are desirous of taking admission. They should check out the age limit to satisfy themselves before applying according to the eligibility criteria laid down by the University they are applying to.

Education qualification for CUET 2023

The candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2023, irrespective of their age, can appear in CUET (PG) 2023 examination.

CUET PG 2023 Exam Structure and Syllabus

CUET PG 2023 is scheduled to be in an objective-type pattern with Multiple Choice Questions. The question Paper will be divided into two parts: PART A and PART B. Sections of the paper will be divided as: 

Section IA – 13 Languages
Section IB – 19 Languages
Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects
Section III – General Test
The subject title of the syllabus is: 
Humanities 
Language 
Common 
M.Tech
Science
Acharya

An in-depth syllabus is provided for different courses. Candidates can choose a maximum of 20 test paper codes in all. Each question paper will have 100 MCQ Questions.

Marking scheme  

Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
The candidate will get 04 (four) marks for each correct response. 
For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score. 
However, unanswered/ unattempted responses will be given no marks.
