Sberbank of Russia, a state-owned bank already present in India, has made history by becoming the first Russian bank to register as a foreign portfolio investor (FPI) with the Indian markets regulator (SEBI). This registration grants them a Category I FPI license, which involves stricter ownership disclosures but allows them to invest in overseas derivatives linked to Indian stocks and enjoy certain tax benefits. Category I FPI status is typically reserved for government-related foreign investors and regulated entities like banks, sovereign wealth funds, investment trusts, pension funds, and asset management companies.

This VWT, a first in the Indian Army, simulates real-life free fall conditions, allowing military trainees to enhance their Combat Free Fall (CFF) skills. The National Health Authority (NHA) hosted the two-day Arogya Manthan 2023 event to commemorate the 5-year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PM-JAY) and the 2-year milestone of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). AB-PM-JAY, initiated in 2018, offers health coverage of 5 lakhs per family annually for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization, while ABDM aims to establish a robust digital health ecosystem with an online platform.
