After Bell Market Wrap-up: 6th July 2021

While Nifty opened near 15,850 and Sensex reclaimed the 53000-mark, they did not see the end of the day. The closing bell saw 19 of the 30 Sensex stocks in red, and the Nifty ended 0.10% lower.

Top gainers include Ultra tech cement and Shree cements. Nifty Bank gained big. However, the auto sector failed to end in green.  While the dollar fell, gold saw a steady rise today.

A snippet of markets today

  • Tata motors traded low over concern of shortage regarding semiconductor chips. The supply shortage is expected to exceed the previous quarter.

  • Reliance Telecom faced a bad situation as the DoT authorities refused to renew the license until the payment of the dues.

  • Wonderla Holidays closed at 255 owing to the easing restrictions and return of business to normalcy.

  • Goldiam saw a rise to 505.35 as they are looking for a share buyback

  • Oil prices rise as the issue prevails with OPEC.

Wrapping up... 

While Chinese and Hong Kong markets were flat, the European markets ended high. Following global cues, Indian markets gained big today. However, the closing bell had something else in store.
